Romeo and Juliet at Wadham College Gardens Theatre Oxford
Until Saturday 22nd August: Romeo, a boy from the wrong side of the tracks meets the beautiful Juliet, a Capulet and his family’s sworn enemy. They fall in love, but the high walls of the colleges cannot hide their passion and only serves to inflame the family feud. Somebody has to stop them before they end up with a musician for a son-in-law. Be electrified by this guitar wielding, heart pounding, rock and roll love story set in one of Oxford's most stunning gardens.

A Fistful Of Mondays Theatre Oxford

Tuesday 30th June - Saturday 4th July: Following on from their production of ‘Dancing to the Sound of Crunching Snails’ at this year’s Oxfringe 2009, Balancing Act present another production from Joe Graham. A Fistful of Mondays, romantic comedy, is set in Walbeswick Sports and Social Club and follows the fortunes and romances of the Monday Night All Star Linedancing Club. Friday 10th July: Jasmin Vardimon (Associate Artist of Sadler's Wells) presents her celebrated production Justitia; a daring piece of physical dance theatre that delves into the depths of our justice system. Theatrically staged on an impressive revolving set, Justitia invites the audience on an investigative journey as it unravels the multiple truths concealed behind a gripping crime story. In a replay of events, the audience will witness the action from different perspectives - at the crime scene, in the court house, inside a group therapy room - revealing new realities as a series of secrets unfold. Brought to you by the award-winning producers of Equus, Art and The Play What I Wrote, Brief Encounter has a company of ten actor-musicians who switch seamlessly between theatre and film to recreate the world of Milford Junction and the famous station tearoom in ways that have never been seen before. Sunday 26th: In support of Oxford Playhouse's 70th Anniversary Campaign
As we continue on in our 70th year, Oxford Playhouse is proud to welcome a family of extraordinary talent to the stage.
Prunella Scales CBE (Fawlty Towers, A Question of Attribution, Gertrude's Secret) will be joined by husband Timothy West CBE (Brass, King Lear, Bleak House) and their BAFTA award-winning, film-star son, Samuel West (Howard's End, Rupert's Land, Iris, Van Helsing) for an evening to remember.
Whilst in preparation for the big night, Timothy has said, We don't often get the chance to work together as a family, but we are very much looking forward to doing so "For One Night Only"at the Playhouse. And the Playhouse is very much looking forward to having them here!
