| Salute to Love |
Tuesday 14th February: The City of Oxford Orchestra's annual Valentine Concert concert is almost as well-loved as their Christmas Carols. This year the programme includes some beautiful film music: Morricone's Cinema Paradiso and Hesse's Ladies in Lavender; as well as the unashamedly romantic Meditation from Thaïs and Barber Adagio, and for those who can't live without it, Pachelbel's Canon! Roland Roberts will direct the evening and include a few surprises. Note the early start. The programme will run through without an interval to allow for romantic dinners afterwards. NOT TO BE MISSED!! 'This highly proficient orchestra created plenty of sunshine with a bright, joyous progranmme that positively shimmered from start to finish'.

A career in jazz, with the accompanying promise of unfeasibly high earnings potential and fame, beckoned. Having won ‘Outstanding Musician’ award during a three year stint at Berklee College of Music in Boston, John returned to the UK and has since made a name for himself as an extremely talented performer and producer.
