Wildlife Photographer of the Year   Whats on in Oxford
Saturday 28th January to Saturday 10th March: Wildlife Photographer of the Year is coming to Science Oxford Live! This is one of the first stops on its UK tour, so don’t miss this opportunity to see some of the world’s most breathtaking examples of wildlife photography. You can also join us for Wildlife Photographer Late on the 10th and 24th of February and the 9th of March, when we’ll be open from 6:30pm – 9:00pm. Tickets: £3.50 Family/Group (up to 5 people): £11.00.
 
An ABC of the Universe   Whats on in Oxford
Thursday 2nd February: This 5 week course is for anyone who has never studied science, or who has forgotten what they ever knew. Easily digested, fun and fascinating, each session will bring you a big topic in modern science. With activities, talk and discussion, we will take everyone from the simplest starting points all the way to the cutting edge of modern research. Where is the earth in the universe? What holds the universe together? What’s the difference between stars, planets and galaxies? How did the universe begin, and how will it end?
Please note: you must sign up for all 5 sessions. Times: 7:00pm Tickets: £50 for the five week course.
 
Discovery Zone
Learn through play at the discovery zone and experience science first hand with equipment that allows you to fire a vortex or air, send secret whisper messages across the room, colour your shadow and much more.
Times: Open Saturdays, 10am to 5pm Admission: Drop in £3 per person, £10 family ticket (up to 5 people), under 4s go free.

Diamond Light Source Exhibition   Whats on in Oxford
Saturday 3rd March to Sunday 18th March: Diamond Light Source is the UK’s national synchrotron facility, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire. By accelerating electrons to near light-speed, Diamond generates brilliant beams of light from infra-red to X-rays which are used for academic and industry research. Over 2000 researchers use Diamond’s beamlines to conduct experiments in a wide range of disciplines including structural biology, health and medicine, solid-state physics, materials & magnetism, nanoscience, electronics, earth & environmental sciences, chemistry, cultural heritage, energy and engineering

To celebrate Oxfordshire Science Festival Diamond Light Source will be bringing spectacular images of happenings within their otherworldly walls to Oxford Castle Quarter for the public to view at their leisure in the form of an open-air exhibition.

They're back – the FABULOUS cushion concerts return to Cornerstone after a little spring break. These concerts of classical music are so popular – many people come to every single one, but we never seem to run out of instruments!
