A World Heritage
Site which is the home of the 11th Duke of Marlborough and was
the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Built by Vanburgh for
the 1st Duke in 1705, it is set in "Capability Brown" landscaped
parklands and wonderful gardens. Fine furniture, tapestries and
paintings set in magnificent gilded state rooms, and the Churchill
Exhibition.
Opening Times: Blenheim Palace opens daily from 10.30am to 5.30pm
(last admission 4.45pm) from February 11th until December 10th
2006. During November and December the Palace and formal gardens
open from Wednesday to Sunday. The Park opens daily from 9am
(last admission 4.45pm or dusk) except Christmas Day. |
